Why do people act like it's so easy to find a new person after a breakup?

For instance, after my a** was dumped, I was all depressed and nothing would help me. All people would say was, ''Find someone else''. Well, hello? Do you really think it's that easy, most relationships happen incidentally, it's kind of sad when people actually make effort to LOOK for a bf/gf. I wish people would get real, why even bother saying that? It's not that easy to date someone who you actually LIKE.
