Why do people have a problem with Abba being in the Rock and Roll hall of fame?
I mean, it's not as if these things really mean anything is it? The Rock and Roll hall of fame is all about a load of egotistical people who think they know what's cool and what isn't getting together and deciding who's going to get their endorsement. Like so much of the modern world, it's a form of mind control that's behind this. From that point of view, it's kinda reassuring that an eminently non cool - but also eminently talented - group like Abba can get into it. And, incidentally, if a track like 'Watch Out' isn't Rock and Roll then what exactly is it? Pop? For sure, but reasonable people will accept that some types of music can be both pop and rock and roll at the same time. There are plenty of Abba songs that fall into that type of cross-genre category. Three others would be 'Hey Hey Helen', 'Tiger' and 'On and On and On'.
